Visa letters should only be issued to
- People the committee knows
- Speakers/Presenters
- Committee members
- Attendees who have paid their registration fee in full
Visa letters should state only the facts
- Conference title, dates and location
- If they are either a committee member, author, co-author, speaker
or presenter
Travel
Attendees should fly into
Philadelphia International Airport -- airport code PHL.
US Customs
Please be sure to conform to all US Customs regulations in regard
to what you are allowed to bring in, or take out, of the US. For
example, cigarette lighters are now banned on all US flights.
- If you fly directly to Philadelphia from abroad you will go
through immigration and customs in Philadelphia in Terminal A.
This can take 45 minutes or more at peak times.
- If you fly to Philadelphia on a connecting domestic flight,
you must pass customs at the original US destination and re-check
your bags to Philadelphia. Your bags can then be picked up in
your arriving terminal (A, B, C, D, E or F) in Philadelphia.
